Offercity Rehab: See How We Achieved This Rustic Farmhouse Style
In this Offercity home renovation, we break down how our team strategically turned this worn-down single-story home into a beautiful modern piece. We knew this home had lots of potentials to be so much more with its: above standard backyard size, multiple outdoor spaces, open-concept living area, and unique features.
First things first, we started by removing any of the belongings and appliances left behind. Most of the home was in good condition besides the two bathrooms, so we made a complete teardown and started from scratch to transform them.
Once our team removed the belongings and the demo was complete, we worked on upgrading the landscaping – our goal was to go for the rustic farmhouse style. So for the paint on the outside, we went with a taupe color for the entire home and peppery color for the trim. The home’s exterior is one of the main features. The backyard is so serene, with several fruit trees and open space; however, the front of the home could use some work. So we added sod grass, rose bushes, and birds of paradise to brighten the front.
Now we move to the inside. Our team prepared the home for the interior paint and new flooring. To brighten up the house, we installed new flooring and carpet throughout. We used Pamsley cape laminate flooring throughout the kitchen, dining room, and hallways. The luxury vinyl plank carpet went into the bedrooms and living room.
The kitchen came with cabinets in good condition, so we decided to repurpose them by sanding them down, painting them a fresh white color, and adding black matte hardware. To give the home a modern look, we went with quartz countertops in the kitchen and primary bathroom. The house has wooden panel walls, one in the living room and one in the office. To achieve our goal of the rustic farmhouse style, we knew these walls were perfect for giving the home a pleasant and warm look.
To help add the most value to this home, we completely transformed the bathrooms beautifully. Matte Porcelain Patterned flooring went into both bathrooms, and new cabinetry. We installed Quartz shower tile and countertops in the primary bathroom.
As soon as the cosmetics were complete in the kitchen, we installed new stainless steel appliances to tie in the entire look and had a professional stager come in to make every detail stand out. These professional photos show off all the hard work put into renovating this beautiful home. Our team puts great care into each remodel, always keeping the past and future homeowners in mind.
